LaVar Ball Takes Credit for Lonzo Ball Trade, Says LaMelo Ball Will Be No. 1 Pick

This past weekend, the Los Angeles Lakers made a blockbuster trade for Anthony Davis. In exchange, they shipped off Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart and draft picks for The Brow and one person that had to automatically react was his father LaVar Ball.

In this morning’s First Take, Mr. Big Baller Brand was there to explain his feelings on the trade and how things will shape out in New Orleans.

To kick things off, he said that he plotted all along for Lonzo to be trade by saying the things he said in the media. He actually wanted them to send him to the Pelicans and he’s going to thrive out there, but that the Lake Show will never win a championship with that move. Even funnier, he said the Lakers organization is “raggedy” and he’s glad Zo go out of there.

Further in the interview he talked about his son LaMelo and how he’d be the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft and how there’s a connection between Zion Williamson, Lonzo Ball and Alan Foster.

Remember when LaVar predicted Lonzo’s next team would be the Phoenix Suns? So much for speaking that into existence, right?
