LeBron James Breaks Silence on Decision to Join the Los Angeles Lakers

No ESPN interview. . .

Earlier this month, LeBron James formally left the Cleveland Cavaliers to join the Los Angeles Lakers, ending his second and possibly final tenure with the hometown team.

While moving out west is odd to most of you fans (it’s still real to me dammit), not expecting an eventual ditching of the east-west format, what stuck out to us was the four-year deal.

For the first time this decade, the King signed a deal longer than two years; which has been the norm for his opt-out clause to have control over owners. Having trust in Magic Johnson, Rob Pelinka and Kobe Bryant is something he doesn’t have to worry about, leaving him to focus on the court.

Today, LBJ finally broke silence on why he decided to go purple and gold until 2023, as he used his own platform to discuss the transaction. Along with building a school in his home state of Ohio, take a look at more of why LeBron is calling this move a dream come true.
