The Cleveland Cavaliers have taken some heat in the media to start the season, mostly for underperforming and being at the bottom of the standings in the Eastern Conference.
LeBron James needed to make a statement tonight against the the Washington Wizards.
And that he did. The king blacked out for a season-high 57 points, 11 rebounds and 7 rebounds to take home the win after losing four in a row.
With tonight’s performance, James became the youngest player in NBA history to score 29,000 career points. He also tied Allen Iverson for sixth-most 50-point games, with 11.
It was James’ 11th career 50-point game, tying him with Allen Iverson for the sixth-most in NBA history. They’re both 6th on the list.
After the game, LBJ said that he feels like he’s in the best shape of his life and can only strive to keep getting better. Imagine that. The best player in the NBA getting better. Not to mention his team this season getting into form in time for the playoffs.
Meanwhile, Bradley Beal is eating his words about being the best team in the league, even though he dropped a respectable 36 points on the night. Wall added 13.
