Nick Young Has Left the Lakers and Signed With the Warriors

At a time where every player in free agency has been accused of “ring chasing” at some point, Nick Young has not been a part of that conversation. Well, that is until now.

Swaggy P was seen on Instagram with Draymond Green the other day, hinting at a move up north to suit up for the Golden State Warriors. That move is official now, as the two sides have agreed to a one-year, $5.2 million dollar deal with the defending NBA champions. The Dubs are using their midlevel exception to pay him, only adding to their championship core.

He’s not the only bench player that has decided to sign with the Warriors, Omri Casspi has also committed to the team, to add with the likes of Andre Iguodala and Shaun Livingston. Plus, they still want to bring back JaVale McGee to a new deal and should within the next few days.

Swaggy played four seasons for the Lakers and was one of their offensive spark plugs off the bench and should continue that role with Golden State. But he’ll probably get a ring for doing so now.
