Paul Pierce has had a hell of a career in the NBA. He’s won championships, played with Hall of Fame players and now he’s enjoying his farewell with league. Considering he’s now on the Los Angeles Clippers, he’s back home. The Player’s Tribune went behind-the-scenes with him all the way to Inglewood as he talked about why the city molded him.

From the courts he used to play at and high school he was raised in, Paul talked about his teenage days and what it means to him to play 19 seasons in the NBA.

Even his high school coach spoke on how special he was and the potential he saw in him back then.

Pierce’s whole point is the fact he wants to inspire other kids to not turn to the street and make it out of Inglewood like he did. If he could do that, he’d be happy.
