Paul Pierce’s Last Game at TD Garden in Boston

Today marked the end of an era for the Boston Celtics and Paul Pierce. Even as he’s a member of the Los Angeles Clippers, the city of Boston still loves him for what he did and he took in all the glory and admiration on his last game ever played at TD Garden. From the video tribute, to the starting announcements and “Thank You Paul” cheers; it was a historic night for him.

Throughout his 18-year NBA career, Pierce had never been held scoreless in a game at the stadium and it wasn’t going to happen on this day either.

In the final seconds of the fourth quarter, Paul checked back into the game to a standing ovation from the crowd, had a play ran for him and hit a 3-pointer to sum up his career as a Celtic.

Every single fan in the arena was on their feet cheering for him.

Pierce ends his career with the Celtics as the franchise’s second-leading scorer behind John Havlicek and an NBA champion as part of that dynamic 2008 team with Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett.

The man is a Hall of Famer and will always bleed Celtic green.
