Simmons is finally set to the join the Philly process!

Last fall, the Philadelphia 76ers saw some unfortunate news regarding their no. 1 overall pick over the summer, Ben Simmons. The team soon learned their co-franchise star suffered a fractured bone in his right foot, during training camp. Originally, many feared that Simmons could miss the entire season – due to advise from agents Rich Paul and LeBron James.

However, he healed up faster than expected during the freshman year setback. The Sixers organization confirmed that Ben is now scheduled to make his official regular season debut with the team shortly after next month’s All-Star Game. The team is likely to finish the year with close to thirty wins and could be a dark horse for making a late push at capturing the 8th seed in the east.

By now, the days of tanking in the city of brotherly love are long-gone, as they’ll have two solid star pieces to attract free agents this summer and next. The Sixers still need to address their front-court issues with deciding on a trade for Jahlil Okafor and Nerlens Noel – or both.
