Predicting Where the Biggest NBA Free Agents Are Signing

With the free agency rumors flying around rampant the past few days, it’s a toss up on where some of the top free agents are doing this offseason.

The biggest questions surround the likes of Kawhi Leonard, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, with some of the dominoes falling shortly after those contracts are locked in. With plenty of teams preparing their pitches for these big-name stars, it’ll be a a complete movie to watch it all unfold.

The news is supposed to come in as early as Saturday night, but before the big sweepstakes go crazy, here are some of our predictions:

Kawhi Leonard: LA Lakers
Kevin Durant: Brooklyn Nets
Kyrie Irving: Brooklyn Nets
Klay Thompson: Golden State Warriors
Kemba Walker: Boston Celtics
Jimmy Butler: Philadelphia 76ers
Khris Middleton: Milwaukee Bucks
Tobias Harris: Philadelphia 76ers
Nikola Vucevic: Orlando Magic
D’Angelo Russell: Indiana Pacers
DeMarcus Cousins: New York Knicks
JJ Redick: LA Lakers
Al Horford: Dallas Mavericks
Malcolm Brogdon: LA Clippers
Bojan Bogdanovic: Sacramento Kings
Terry Rozier: Charlotte Hornets
Harrison Barnes: Sacramento Kings
Danny Green: Toronto Raptors

The most interesting aspect will be where the second-tier wave of free agents land because those role players will certainly make a difference in the right situations. Players like Nikola Mirotic, Brook Lopez, Paul Millsap, JJ Redick, Marcus Morris, and Jonas Valanciunas will make immediate contributions to any of the top teams. But will they chase the money in less than desirable winning situations? It’s likely for some.

Plus, the timing of it all will be intriguing because some players will be signing as soon as free agency starts, while others will wait until certain pieces fall.

We’ll find out soon enough.

Where do you guys think some of the biggest (or smallest) free agents end up this summer? Let us know in the comments your predictions as well.
