Scottie Pippen Will Be Joining ESPN as NBA Analyst

Chicago Fire - Season 3

The ESPN studios have been a revolving door for people that have come and gone the past year (actually, the past few months). The network has been shifting and rearranging positions and it looks like former Chicago Bulls forward and NBA Hall Of Famer Scottie Pippen is joining the team.

Although ESPN has not confirmed yet, sources tell The Big Lead that Scottie will be an NBA analyst and will be mostly featured on The Jump (Rachel Nichols’ NBA show), but may also have a recurring role on SportsCenter.

As far as NBA Countdown, considering the fact that coach Doug Collins will be doing commentary throughout the season, a vacant spot has opened up in the studio alongside Jalen Rose, Michelle Beadle and/or Sage Steele. The same source told the website that the network hopes for Magic Johnson or Kobe Bryant, but the former is a longshot. Other candidates include Tracy McGrady and Chauncey Billups.

We wouldn’t mind the Black Mamba on Countdown, clowning Jalen about that 80 point game he had on him. That would make for some hilarious television.
