S.A.S. ruins another free agent possible destination
After killing any chances of Kevin Durant going to either the Golden State Warriors or Los Angeles Lakers earlier this year, another free agent destination that was under-the-radar appears to be over. Stephen A. Smith was on ESPN earlier today to give his opinion on how the former MVP of the league (who’s set to turn 28 next fall) could be losing his window of winning an NBA title.
Throughout the last three seasons, injuries have hindered the OKC Thunder from having a post-season run since their finals appearance in 2012; but after an embarrassing defeat to the San Antonio Spurs over the weekend, many believe Kevin should be looking at alternative teams.
Above, S.A.S. gives his opinion on why Durant should be taking his talents to South Beach, who are one superstar away from being considered legit championship competitors. While it’s baffling to leave behind Russell Westbrook, our suggestion would be taking the LeBron James extortion route of signing one-year deals – to ensure the Thunder surround their two stars with better talent.
