The Minnesota Timberwolves Reintroduce Kevin Garnett

That no. 21 has never looked better!

At the age of 38, Kevin Garnett has lived out his dreams as professional NBA player, winning a championship in 2008 to compliment his hall-of-fame career. Many have asked why the future first-ballot legend isn’t playing for a contender team for once last run. Well, Garnett is content with his career and is looking to return home to the team that drafted him nearly 20 years ago as the 5th overall pick.

While many transactions happened last Thursday in the biggest NBA Trade Deadline frenzy of all time, the one move that all fans of the game could respect was Garnett reuniting with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Much like Kobe Bryant, K.G. plans to extend his career past next season on a young team helmed by team president and head coach, Flip Saunders. Sitting at the bottom of the conference for the 2nd worst record in the league, the team is almost a certain to gain a top-5 pick – with the possibility of landing the no. 1 overall pick in next June’s draft.

With a youthful lineup consisting of Andrew Wiggins, Shabazz Muhammad, Ricky Rubio and Zach LaVine; Garnett wants to bring his tough mental to a team of misguided players for the future. In the video above, Kevin talks his return to Minnesota and how some players have been afraid of him upon the first team practice.
