A$AP Rocky Thanks Fans, Performs For First Time Since Sweden Imprisonment

In just a few days (three, to be exact), A$AP Rocky is set to hear his verdict on the assault charges that him locked in a Swedish jail earlier this month. Rocky was locked up for five weeks awaiting trial for an alleged attack on 19-year old Mustafa Jafari in Stockholm.

The entire time, Rocky has claimed he was innocent and pled not guilty.

Now that he’s home and in the United States, his career continued. Live from the Real Street Festival in Anaheim, CA, Rocky did not waste any time speaking on the situation. In his heartfelt statement to the fans in attendance, he thanked everyone that held him down while he was locked down and his spirits were down.

“Y’all know how happy I am to be here right now. I wanna say this, though: When I was away — hold the mosh please, this a sentimental moment! — what I experienced was crazy … It was a scary, humbling experience, but I’m here right now. God is good. People who ain’t even fuck with me felt sympathy. People was praying for me. That uplifted me when my spirits was low. I can’t thank y’all enough, man. That was crazy. Hip-hop never looked so strong together.”

It’s a touching moment for Rocky in the midst of him getting back on stage.
