Ashanti is slowly but surely trying to stage her comeback. After making a surprising guest appearance on Belly’s latest album InZombia, the veteran singer-songwriter returned with her new song “Helpless” that reunited her with former Murder Inc label-mate Ja Rule. The track is taken from the newly released Hamilton Mixtape that featured a ton of top artists.
Yesterday, during the Showtime At The Apollo two-hour special, hosted by Steve Harvey, Ashanti made her way to the stage during the event and performed her new song alongside Ja Rule for the first time. The performance marked the pair’s second appearance on the show together as their previous time was for a performance of “Always On Time.”
