Bobby Shmurda’s Prison Sentence To Be Extended After New Charge

106 & Party

It has been a difficult time for Bobby Shmurda ever since going to jail. The rapper has endured his record label turning their back on him, multiple members of his crew being sentenced to life and after he pleaded guilty to a weapons charge and was due to serve seven years, he was caught sneaking in a shank to prison and more years will be added to his time served.

Bobby accepted a plea deal stemming from a 2015 charge of promoting prison contraband. He admitted that he and his girlfriend, Kimberly Rousseau, attempted to bring in a “sharpened metal object” during a visit to Riker’s Island and got caught doing so.

The new charge will add anywhere from 1.3 to 4 years to his 7-year sentence.

Shmurda’s girlfriend Rousseau also pleaded guilty to the same charge of promoting prison contraband for her part in the plot. Her sentence is not known at this time.
