More life coming this spring?

Leading up Kentucky’s big Saturday showdown against Kansas this weekend, Coach John Calipari had long-time friend and fellow wild-cat, Drake, as guest on Cal Cast podcast. During the conversation, the two reflected on their past years of knowing each other in the mid-west, including the 6-God and Cal developing a bond before he became a global brand.

Drizzy touched on his big break with Degrassi, explaining how he showed up to audition high. After teasing an imminent return to acting in the coming years, he addressed the status of his upcoming More Life playlist project. He went to explain how the project is collaboration with Apple Music and stated that its serving as a mixtape-like effort before he shares an official solo follow-up to VIEWS.

Unfortunately, he wouldn’t give an update when fans could expect the effort, but did say he’s still hungry in crafting music for listeners. Before things concluded, he revealed that he’s hosting the first ever NBA Awards and even invited Coach Cal to the event. He then closed things out comparison sports and music – saying his genre of rap will never have a legitimate award system.

While it’s evident he believes he’s the best artist out at the moment, he knows that there will always be public opinion from hindering him from sitting atop of the throne. Take a listen below to the full interview above and look for more details from the owl family to emerge later this winter.
