Eminem & Dr. Dre Officially Have New Music Coming This Year

No word on those solo projects!

Earlier this weekend, Eminem premiered his new ode to battle rap film, Bodied. The project would surprisingly become one of the most praised efforts at the entire 2017 Toronto International Film Festival. With Eminem just waiting for distribution rights to be purchased for a stateside theatrical roll-out in the coming weeks; director Joseph Khan shared some major news.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, he confirmed that the battle rap comedy movie is set to have an official soundtrack, which will be curated by Eminem and Paul Rosenberg. With the two Shady Records and now Def Jam fellas readying the soundtrack, Khan revealed that they’ve also tapped Dr. Dre for new content. He went to say, “By the time it’s bought and ready for distribution (ICM is selling worldwide rights), Eminem will contribute a number of songs to the soundtrack.

The pair also has enlisted Dr. Dre for a couple of songs.” It’s no secret that Slim Shady has a new album on the way out, rumored to impact later this fall. However, following the release of Dr. Dre’s HBO documentary, The Defiant Ones, rumblings in the music world have hinted that he’s still very active with recording private songs every day. With Dre, just two years removed from his COMPTON soundtrack, we’re curious if he’s found inspiration for another project.

Let us know in the comments what you think of this upcoming reunion.
