Vic Mensa releases his new music video for “16 Shots” taken from his June released There’s Alot Going On EP. The visual for the song arrives almost two years to the day that the Chicago police gunned down 17-year-old Laquan McDonald, which this song and visual is protest to. Vic Mensa stands alone as he confronts officers and endures the same pain many have suffered at the hands of police. Unlike the victims that he’s portraying of these tragic incidents, Mensa gets back up and continues his protest.
