Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce Tell Old Stories and Recall Good Memories

Paul Pierce signed a one-day contract with the Boston Celtics so he could retire in that green and white. It was a fitting end to what is sure to be a Hall-of-Fame career.

The Player’s Union sat down with both he and Kevin Garnett, so they could talk shit and bring up old memories. The two still ave a great relationship and can still kick it like old times and have a laugh or two. In this interview with each other, they speak on when they were kids and first met, how it felt to link up in the NBA on the same team and how hard Doc Rivers would drill them in practice.

The two also spoke on what they will miss most from the game, which happens to be the camaraderie between the players in the locker room and on the road. Not the work, though.

The Player’s Tribune also followed Pierce through his final game in Boston, how emotional it was for him and how appreciative he is to the franchise and the city. They felt the same way in return and they showed it to him even though he was in another jersey.

At the end of the day, he’ll always be a Celtic.
