It seems like a thing whenever a player leaves a team. They sign with another team for whatever the reason and fans turn on them. Then the first thing we see on social media is the burning of jerseys. As much as folks are hurt and angry for their favorite player going to another team, even when it’s not their choice, jerseys are still being burned.
After seeing what fans did to Isaiah Thomas and Gordon Hayward this past offseason (which probably brings back memories of what folks when he left Cleveland during The Decision), LeBron James has come to the defense of them and went on a rant on Twitter about the subject.
