Paul George Intends To Sign With the Lakers in 2018 No Matter What

The sports media has been going crazy for weeks, speculating at where Paul George plays next season. They have been forming plenty of trade scenarios involving the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics, with hope that he would stay there and lure him from going to the Los Angeles Lakers as a one-year rental. Even the Houston Rockets became a front-runner in the sweepstakes after that Chris Paul trade.

Every possible championship contending team was seemingly making a run at PG13.

Turns out, he doesn’t give a fuck about any of that and just wants to play for his hometown Lakers. According to the Los Angeles Times, he already made up his mind.

According to people not authorized to speak publicly, George, a Palmdale native, is still telling friends that he intends to be a Laker in 2018. Because of that, he knows the Lakers have little incentive to trade for him now.

If this news is to be taken as 100% accurate, this means anyone trading for him would essentially only have him as a rental and would lose assets and/or players for borrowing him for one year. Who in the fuck would be dumb enough to do all that and watch him walk in one season?

Lake Show fans should just hold tight and finally be relived they don’t have to give up key pieces to trade for him either. Julius Randle, Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr. can breathe now.

Meanwhile, the Indiana Pacers truly lost.
