Cavs now become the clear-cut favorites in the east. . .
Before Thursday’s NBA trade deadline ended, the Philadelphia 76ers finally addressed front-court clog-age, trading away Nerlens Noel to the Dallas Mavericks – in exchange for Andre Bogut.
The veteran big-man and former member of the Golden State Warriors, had been sidelined the majority of the year, dealing with nagging injuries. Luckily, the Philadelphia 76ers, have agreed to let Bogut walk in a buyout, as he’ll now be taking his talents to The Land.
Much like Deron Williams, Andrew will be joining the Cleveland Cavaliers, and will provide depth at the front-court position, after he clears waivers. This move now puts them over-the-top and the winner of the deadline, while Boston did minimal moves to upgrade their wing.
The team is just a few weeks away from getting The Pipe back, as well as Kevin Love expected to be cleared for their playoff run. For those of you wondering if Bogut will bring out secrets from the Warriors – this isn’t like the NFL when teams run privately plays, as the NBA has everything public.
Let us know in the comments if you expect the Cavs to now repeat as champions.
Two Mavs sources say they expect Andrew Bogut will choose to join the Cavaliers once he receives a buyout from the 76ers.
